The century-old HMV chain has a major store on bustling Henry Street, right in the center of Dublin.
HMV Dublin – Henry Street marks the British brand’s big bet in Ireland. After being closed for many years, the store reopened in 2023 with a strong focus on music (LPs, CDs, and DVDs) and pop culture.
It’s also considered the brand’s first flagship outside the UK under the management of Sunrise Records, led by entrepreneur Doug Putman.
Spread across nearly 560 square meters and three floors, the store offers a wide variety of new records from multiple genres, music tech, and a massive selection of merchandise tied to bands, movies, TV series, cartoons, and comics.
A Paradise for Music Lovers and Collectors
HMV Dublin boasts an impressive selection of over 15,000 products, including around 5,000 vinyl records and 5,500 CDs covering all kinds of music.
Beyond music, the store also invests heavily in sound technology, with high-end audio equipment designed for those who want the best experience when listening to their favorite albums.
Beyond Music: Pop Culture Central
But HMV’s concept goes well beyond music. The Dublin store also carries more than 3,000 pop culture items and over 1,000 different T-shirt designs, spanning bands, films, series, anime, and comics.
Whether you’re hunting down a rare vinyl, picking up a T-shirt from your favorite band, or just browsing the aisles packed with cultural references, HMV Dublin – Henry Street is a spot worth adding to your Dublin itinerary.
