The Vic Theatre is a historic performance venue located in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, USA. It first opened its doors in 1912.
With a capacity of approximately 1,400 spectators, the venue was designed by English architect John E. O. Pridmore, who also designed and oversaw the construction of nearly 20 theaters in Chicago and the Midwest.
Over the decades, The Vic has undergone various changes, renovations, and transformations. Since the 2000s, it has established itself as a premier venue for live performances, hosting everything from comedy shows to rock concerts.
Some of the biggest names in rock history have played at The Vic Theatre, including Bob Dylan, Elvis Costello, David Bowie, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, The Black Keys, The Cure, The National, Green Day, and Oasis.
Today, the venue continues to welcome rock, heavy metal, and other musical acts. The beautifully designed theater offers excellent visibility of the stage from multiple vantage points, both on the main floor and the upper levels.
The Vic Theatre is easily accessible via the Belmont subway station. While the venue does not have a private parking lot, there are parking options available nearby.
Please note that The Vic operates as a cashless venue—only electronic and card payments are accepted.
