Woodstock Rock Store is an iconic shop in downtown São Paulo, Brazil, established in 1978.
Popularly known as Woodstock Discos or simply Woodstock, the store has left a mark on the history of rock and heavy metal in Brazil.
Prominent figures in Brazilian metal such as Andre Matos (Viper, Angra, and Shaman), Andreas Kisser, Max and Iggor Cavalera (Sepultura), Gastão Moreira (journalist), and João Gordo (Ratos de Porão) were some of the illustrious figures who frequented the shop envisioned by Walcir Chalas.
Currently, in addition to selling vinyl records, the store also organizes events and small concerts. It’s worth checking out Woodstock’s schedule.
Woodstock Rock Store is open Wednesday to Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Located in the heart of São Paulo, it is easily accessible by public transportation, near the Anhangabaú metro station.
