New York’s Rock Route, USA

New York, the city that never sleeps, is a convergence point for lovers of all rock subgenres. Located on the East Coast of the United States, the city is a global rock icon, being the birthplace of legendary bands like the Ramones, Kiss, Anthrax, Beastie Boys, and Sonic Youth.

In addition to the concert you’re planning to attend, if you have a few extra days in New York, consider taking a rock tour through the Big Apple. Irving Plaza and Gramercy Theatre are some of the historic venues, perfect for more intimate shows. If you prefer a bar with live music, Cafe Wha? is a great choice. Rock legends like Jimi Hendrix, Bruce Springsteen, and Bob Dylan frequented and performed at this venue.

Speaking of Bob Dylan, the musician lived in New York and even chose a beautiful street near his home for the cover of his 1963 album “The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan.” Also, don’t miss a visit to Strawberry Fields Memorial, a garden in Central Park dedicated to John Lennon.
