About us

Rock Your World with TRAVEL2CONCERT!

Unite with fellow rockers and create unforgettable memories!

Welcome to all of you who have joined this community of Red Birds passionate about loud music!

We are Priscila Roque and Rafael Boro, a couple of journalists specializing in culture, and this is TRAVEL2CONCERT. This website was born from an old dream of publishing a guide that explores places that tell the history of rock around the world, combined with our love for researching concert venues before choosing a destination to see a band we love.

Thus, we created this bilingual directory (English and Portuguese) organized by city, mapping out the main concert venues, music-themed hotels, rock bars, record stores, musical instrument shops, t-shirt and merchandise stores, as well as museums and significant places that help understand rock and heavy metal around the globe.

Additionally, we also publish articles to support the Red Birds in planning their travels motivated by music tourism.

But who are the Red Birds?

In our logo, there are two birds in flight, one black and one red, connected by a heartbeat line.

The birds reference the blackbird, a bird with a melodious song, black body, and orange beak, which carries many meanings in popular culture worldwide. When they appear in pairs, for example, they can symbolize peace and good luck. This is the same bird mentioned in the Beatles’ song “Blackbird,” where its song can be heard throughout the track.

At TRAVEL2CONCERT, this brand image was also inspired by the visceral solo in the song “Blackbird” by Alter Bridge, a sinergy between musicians Myles Kennedy and Mark Tremonti. Both use PRS guitars, which traditionally feature the image of birds in flight along the instrument’s fretboard.

Therefore, to reinforce TRAVEL2CONCERT’s values of borderless freedom, shared emotion, and physical expression, we created the Red Bird: a bird that represents our community and embodies this intense heartbeat.

About TRAVEL2CONCERT

The name of the site, TRAVEL2CONCERT, refers to movement, whether it’s physically traveling to another city or country to see a concert, or figuratively traveling as you absorb everything a live concert can bring.

Here, you can explore everything from historic concert venues and music-themed hotels to landmarks and museums that have shaped the history of rock and celebrate the legacy of musicians who have left their mark on the world.

In each city, you will find a musical tourism guide that highlights important points for the history of rock in that location, allowing you to create thematic itineraries with:

  • Live Music Venues
  • Music-Themed Hotels
