David Bowie (1947-2016) was honored with a Blue Plaque at Trident Studios in London, England.
It was at the historic Trident Studios, located at 17 St Anne’s Ct in Soho, where the British singer and songwriter recorded the albums “Hunky Dory” (1971) and “The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars” (1972), as well as the single “Space Oddity.”
In addition to Bowie, other great artists recorded at the studio in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s, including Queen, Genesis, and Thin Lizzy.
This tribute to Bowie has been displayed at the building since 2017.
The famous blue plaques aim to indicate something historic related to the location, person, or event. They are quite common in London.
The location of the “Ziggy Stardust” album cover and the David Bowie Memorial also deserve a visit on your travel itinerary in London.
