The Vinyl Rocks – former BR-020 – is a bar in Amsterdam well-known among Sepultura fans, as it is owned by Paulo Xisto, the bassist of the legendary Brazilian heavy metal band.
Customers can try snacks and light bites with a Brazilian twist, accompanied by good beers and drinks. In addition, the bar has a very pleasant atmosphere.
One of the highlights of the décor is a wall filled with covers of major international and Brazilian rock and metal albums. The soundtrack played in the bar is always analog, on vinyl.
There is also a collection of cymbals autographed by bands such as Gojira, Mastodon, and Metallica.
The bar also hosts live music and special events on certain days.
Another strong point of the Vinyl Rocks is its location in the Jordaan district, one of the city’s most cultural and modern neighborhoods of Amsterdam, popular with both tourists and locals.
The bar is open Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m., and Friday and Saturday from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m.
