Originally a cinema, it later became a club (ColumbiaFritz) and now boasts a packed schedule of rock and metal concerts featuring both German and international artists, like Lord of the Lost, Fear Factory, Tarja, Cradle of Filth, Testament, Less Than Jake, Pretenders, Sonata Arctica and The 69 Eyes.
The venue is not very large, and the audience watches the live performances standing. The bar at Columbia Theater sells snacks and drinks.
