Galeria Nova Barão is a cultural hotspot in downtown São Paulo, Brazil, best known today as one of the city’s main destinations for vinyl record collectors.
Opened in 1964, this two-story shopping gallery has, in recent years, become a true reference point for music lovers. From jazz to heavy metal, fans and collectors can spend hours digging through crates and discovering new artists across its many specialized record shops.
Some of the highlights include Locomotiva Discos, Molotov Discos, Sonzera Records, Disco 7 Vinil, Sub Discos, Medusa Records, and Vinil SP.
Beyond vinyl, visitors can also find CDs, cassettes, DVDs, books, turntables, and accessories.
A visit to Galeria Nova Barão can easily be combined with a stop at two other local landmarks: the historic Theatro Municipal and the iconic Galeria do Rock, both located just steps away.
