Grand Central is a rock and live music bar located in Manchester, Northern England, open every day of the week.
They describe themselves as “an alternative live music bar with weekly shows and DJs playing the best in alternative, rock, and metal.”
The space is decorated with posters and features a pool table, darts, some chairs and tables, as well as the classic bar counter. There’s a good selection of beers.
One highlight of Grand Central is its weekly programming with different events and themes: Tuesday is Student Night, with music of various genres and special drink prices; Wednesday is Open Mic Night; Thursday is ALT: MCR, featuring alternative band performances; Friday is DJ Ian’s night, the bar’s resident DJ; Saturday sees more DJs spinning new and classic hits; and most Sundays, the GC stage hosts metal and other style bands.
