The grave of Dee Dee Ramone (1951-2002), bassist and one of the founders of the Ramones, is located in Hollywood Forever Cemetery, a historic site in Los Angeles, United States, established in 1899.
The musician wrote many of the Ramones’ classics, such as “53rd & 3rd,” “Rockaway Beach,” “I Believe in Miracles,” and “Poison Heart,” the latter two co-written with Daniel Rey.
His tombstone is inscribed with the phrase: “O.K…I gotta go now.”
Dee Dee Ramone’s grave is not far from the statue of his bandmate Johnny Ramone (1948-2004), who played with him from 1974 to 1989, also located in Hollywood Forever Cemetery. The area where they rest is called the Garden of Legends.
Hollywood Forever Cemetery is the final resting place of many celebrities, including Chris Cornell, Mark Lanegan, Judy Garland, Mickey Rooney, Tyrone Power, and Valerie Harper.
