The Handel & Hendrix House is a museum dedicated to two great musicians who lived in neighboring buildings in London, England: George Frideric Handel and Jimi Hendrix.
Composer George Frideric Handel lived at 25 Brook Street from 1723 until his death in 1759. In 1968, guitarist Jimi Hendrix moved into an adjacent apartment at number 23.
The aim of the visit is to present these buildings as an evolving celebration of Handel and Hendrix’s lives, sharing their music, stories, and collections as a source of learning, enjoyment, and inspiration.
Handel House occupies four floors at 25 Brook Street, while the Hendrix Flat occupies the upper floor of 23 Brook Street, where Jimi Hendrix lived from July 1968 to March 1969. The main room of the apartment was where he entertained friends, rehearsed, composed new music, and gave interviews.
The museum also hosts live music, lectures, and family activities. The museum’s website features a calendar of events.
