Heavy Beer Bar is a rock bar with live music located in the Praça da Bandeira neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The space opened in 2021, on the same site as Heavy Duty — a legendary Rio rock bar that came before it.

Guests can soak up the rock atmosphere — dark walls, imagery of iconic music figures — from the indoor tables and chairs or out on the sidewalk terrace. A pool table is also part of the setup.

The drinks menu covers beers, whisky, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options. On the food side, there are burgers, sandwiches, and a range of sharing plates including fries and onion rings.

The live music programming leans toward rock and heavy metal tribute bands, though Brazilian and international original acts from the underground scene also find their way onto the bill.
