Max-Schmeling-Halle is a multipurpose arena in Berlin, Germany, which opened in 1996. It is located in the famous Mauerpark, where part of the Berlin Wall once stood.
While not as large as some arenas in other European capitals, Max-Schmeling-Halle boasts excellent facilities and regularly hosts renowned rock and heavy metal artists.
Eddie Vedder, Biffy Clyro, Bad Omens, Bring Me the Horizon, Deftones, Megadeth, Rise Against, Queens of the Stone Age, Fall Out Boy, Judas Priest, Slash, Dropkick Murphys, and Trivium were some of the names that have performed at Max-Schmeling-Halle.
The audience can choose to stand on the floor, sit in the two-tiered seating areas, or stand in the gallery. All sections offer good visibility of the stage.
For security reasons, only small bags are allowed inside the venue. The maximum size permitted is A4 dimensions: Height: 29.7 cm; Width: 21 cm; Depth: 15 cm. This bag policy is now common across many European entertainment venues.
