MOTH Club

The MOTH Club is a 150-capacity venue that’s been converted from a working men’s club in the heart of Hackney, East London’s main hub for creative types. MOTH is short for ‘Memorable Order of Tin Hats’.

Come here early if you fancy a prime booth seat, ideal for a comedy set, but chances are you’d be wanting to bounce around on the dance floor to the livelier rockers and punks. The openness of the converted hall allows loud sounds to travel to the back without bouncing back too much. 

The booker favours rowdier acts including John, Ditz, St Agnes, Snooper, to indies like Squid, Will Butler (ex-Arcade Fire). The lads in Idles are down to do a DJ set in this club.

Tickets are generally on the DICE app. Doors open around 7:30pm, but watch out for weekend club nights which could bring forward the starting time for the headliner.
