The Ramones Museum, located in Berlin, Germany, is situated inside the bar 19:77. It is the first and only museum dedicated to the memory of the punk rock band formed in New York City, USA.
Founded by fan Flo Hayler, the museum spans three rooms and houses over 1,000 original Ramones artifacts, covering their career from 1974 to 1996.
The collection includes posters, photos, autographed memorabilia, stage-worn clothing, original tour t-shirts, handwritten letters and lyrics, and many other items.
Additionally, there is a wall of signatures from artists and bands such as Eddie Vedder, CJ Ramone, Biffy Clyro, Sum 41, and Donots.
As a point of interest, Dee Dee Ramone (1951-2002), the band’s bassist and one of its founders, had a strong connection to Berlin, having spent part of his childhood in the city.
The bar/café where the museum is located offers a great selection of vegan foods, including burritos, tacos, salads, hot dogs, and cakes, as well as hot and cold beverages.
The 19:77 defines itself as a punk rock version of the Hard Rock Cafe.
The museum also has an attractive line of merchandise, including t-shirts and jackets.
Entry to the Ramones Museum is free.
