República da Música is a live music and events venue in Lisbon, Portugal, located in the Alvalade neighborhood.
Originally opened in 2011, the venue closed after a few years and reopened in 2024 in a new building next door. The new space is divided into two rooms: the main hall, which holds up to 800 people, and a smaller hall with a capacity of 300 people.
The venue hosts numerous Portuguese and international bands from the metal, hardcore, punk, and independent underground rock scenes.
Pain of Salvation, Marky Ramone, Integrity, Cellar Darling, Terror, Gavin Friday, Eivør, Bizarra Locomotiva, The Exploited, and Leprous are some of the artists who have performed at República da Música.
Due to its small size, the audience enjoys good visibility of the stage from various standing areas.
The Alvalade district offers a wide variety of restaurants, bars, and cafés, and the venue is easily accessible by public transport.
