Strawberry Field is a site that inspired John Lennon to write one of The Beatles’ most famous songs, “Strawberry Fields Forever.”
This space, which belongs to The Salvation Army, is located in Liverpool, in the north of England, very close to the house where Lennon lived during his childhood, on Menlove Avenue.
Before his fame with The Beatles, the singer and songwriter spent some days playing and reflecting at Strawberry Field. This time inspired his work with the band and also personally, later immortalized in the song “Strawberry Fields Forever,” released in 1967.
Currently, fans of the British band and the musician have the opportunity to visit the beautiful garden and the interactive exhibition that tells the stories of the house, The Salvation Army, John Lennon’s childhood, and ‘Strawberry Fields Forever.’ This visit is accompanied by an audio guide available in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Mandarin.
As they define it, Strawberry Field combines educational, cultural, heritage, and spiritual elements in one place to continue inspiring future generations.
Inside Strawberry Field, there is also a café and an official merchandise store with t-shirts, jackets, mugs, books, and other souvenirs.
Entrance to the interactive exhibition and garden is paid.
It is recommended to book tickets online.
