The Rainbow Bar and Grill is a historic rock bar located in West Hollywood, just outside Los Angeles, California, USA. It first opened in 1972.
The venue is a significant part of Hollywood’s cultural history, attracting locals, tourists, rock fans, and music personalities alike. Icons such as Alice Cooper, Keith Moon, Ringo Starr, John Lennon, Axl Rose, David Lee Roth, and Lemmy Kilmister were regulars at the bar.
Lemmy, the legendary vocalist and bassist of Motörhead, who passed away in 2015, was one of the bar’s most famous patrons. In his honor, a bronze statue was erected in the back patio in 2016.
The bar is known for its distinctive rock-themed decor, featuring posters and memorabilia. It also hosts live events and performances.
