Vienna’s Rock Route, Austria
Vienna, Austria, is known as the “City of Music.” Major figures in music history, such as Mozart and Beethoven, lived in the city. At the same time, Vienna is home to a vibrant contemporary music scene, especially for fans of rock and heavy metal.
Beyond the concert you’re planning to attend, if you have a few extra days in Vienna, it’s well worth considering a rock-focused route through the city. Historic venues like Wiener Stadthalle and Wiener Konzerthaus host a wide range of performances, including rock shows. There are also several clubs whose schedules are definitely worth checking out.
If you enjoy having a beer while listening to great music, Battle Axe and Amananth’s Place are excellent choices. Record collectors, on the other hand, can explore Rave Up Records and Moses-Records, two classic destinations in the Austrian capital.
