The Music Gallery at the Horniman Museum and Gardens in London, England, houses the largest number of musical instruments on display in the United Kingdom.
The Horniman Museum’s collection features over 1,300 objects. There are also interactive elements, such as sound tables where visitors can listen to the sounds of instruments.
Originally opened as the Surrey House Museum in 1890 at the Horniman family residence, it was renamed in 1901 to its current name.
The museum and gardens are free.
