Since its foundation in 1822, the Academy has acquired and curated collections of instruments, artworks, memorabilia, manuscripts, scores, and other artifacts.

The mission of the Royal Academy of Music Museum is to support the Academy’s work and share it with the general public, emphasizing music’s potential to inspire, unite, and stimulate through performances, exhibitions, and research.

The museum also hosts recitals, lectures, seminars, workshops, special events, and family activities, all open to the public free of charge.
