Billy Hyde’s Journey
Billy Hyde, the founder of the store, was an Australian entrepreneur deeply passionate about music. In the 1930s, he began his career, eventually becoming a drumming legend in Australia known for his innovations. Billy created the world’s first tubular steel practice kit, which is still used globally today.
He performed on TV shows, radio, and with symphony orchestras, as well as accompanying numerous international artists.
