Captain Americas opened in 1971 as Ireland’s first cookhouse & bar, bringing classic American cuisine to Dublin, accompanied by rock ‘n’ roll.
The walls are adorned with memorabilia celebrating music and sports icons, featuring everything from a signed Guns N’ Roses guitar, items from U2, REM, AC/DC, Thin Lizzy and the Rolling Stones, to Muhammad Ali’s boxing gloves. It offers an atmosphere similar to what you’d find at a Hard Rock Cafe.
On the menu, you’ll find typical American dishes such as chicken wings, breaded mushrooms, mozzarella sticks, and burgers.
The entrance is through a long and narrow staircase. However, the restaurant itself is spacious, with several rooms available. The service is kind and friendly. It’s a great place to visit at any time of the day, whether you’re alone, with a partner, a group of friends, or family.
