Madame Underground Club is a historic live music venue and nightclub in São Paulo, Brazil, located in the Bela Vista neighborhood. It originally opened in 1983.
Initially known as Madame Satã, the club reached its peak during the 1980s, closely tied to the punk and new wave movements in São Paulo. Influential figures of the era such as João Gordo, Kid Vinil, Cazuza, and Rita Lee were regulars at the club’s shows and parties.
The venue’s first chapter came to an end in the early 2000s. In 2012, it reopened under the name Madame Underground Club, preserving the original concept, philosophy, and atmosphere. The space was expanded and officially recognized as a historical heritage site of the city of São Paulo.

Madame’s programming is highly active and primarily focused on New Wave, Gothic, and Post-Punk, featuring live shows by original and cover bands, as well as themed events and parties with resident and guest DJs. The full schedule is shared on the club’s Instagram profile: @madameclub.
The drinks menu includes cocktails, beers, caipirinhas, whiskies, cachaças, and more. Snacks and light bites are also available.
