Nubank Parque (formerly Allianz Parque) is a multi-use football stadium in the western zone of São Paulo, with a concert capacity of around 50,000 people.

Opened in 2014 on the site of the former Estádio Palestra Itália, the venue has hosted artists such as Kiss, Paul McCartney, Guns N’ Roses, Mötley Crüe, Roger Waters, and Foo Fighters, and is also home to the Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras football club.

Being a large-scale stadium, the experience for first-time visitors calls for a bit more planning than at smaller venues, mainly because gate opening times can vary from event to event, and traffic flow for cars and buses around the stadium changes on show days.

What it’s like to see a show at Nubank Parque

The stadium has two tiers of seating, a VIP box area, and the floor (pista), which can host a standing crowd. All the marked seats in the stadium are covered. That said, in the case of heavy rain or wind, fans in the front rows can still get wet.

The field itself (where the floor area is set up for concerts) is not covered, so anyone in that section is exposed to the rain.

Inside the stadium, there are snack, savory pastry, and drink stands, with both fixed food points and vendors walking through the concourse areas. Around the stadium, you’ll find restaurants and bars, as well as Bourbon Shopping mall (which has a supermarket) and Shopping West Plaza.

How to get to Nubank Parque

Nubank Parque is located in the Perdizes neighborhood, in the western zone of São Paulo, at Av. Francisco Matarazzo, 1705 and Rua Palestra Itália, 200.

Gate opening times

The official gate opening time is around two hours before the event, but the final decision depends on each show’s promoter, in coordination with public safety authorities — so it can vary quite a bit. For large-scale shows at Nubank Parque, it’s common for gates to open up to four hours in advance. It’s always worth confirming the specific time for your show before leaving home.

If you’re driving

The stadium has its own parking lot for 2,000 cars, plus other options nearby, including Shopping West Plaza, which typically keeps special hours on show days. Spots are limited, so it’s worth arriving early. Always check which entrance gate corresponds to your ticket’s section, since car and bus traffic patterns can change on the day of the event.

If you’re taking public transport

Palmeiras-Barra Funda station is about 800 meters from Nubank Parque and connects the metro’s Red Line (Linha Vermelha), the CPTM’s Diamente and Rubi commuter rail lines, plus more than 50 bus routes.

The station typically runs until midnight. If the show ends after midnight and you’re relying on public transport, your alternative is to use the bus corridor along Av. Francisco Matarazzo or take a taxi.

Hotels near Nubank Parque Sao Paulo

Nubank Parque is located close to downtown São Paulo, with easy access to public transport. Staying near the stadium can be a good option for getting there and back on foot (or quickly by metro, train, or taxi), as well as for soaking up the atmosphere as musicians and fans arrive throughout the day.

What you can (and can’t) bring into Nubank Parque

Not allowed: rolled paper, newspapers, magazines, posters, flyers, and stickers; glass, plastic, metal, or any other type of container, cup, or vessel; professional cameras (with interchangeable lenses), recorders, camcorders, GoPros or similar devices, tablets, selfie sticks, and gimbals; e-cigarettes; deodorant, cosmetics, or perfume over 90 ml (3 oz); motorcycle helmets or similar items; laser pointers, walkie-talkies, and drones; animals (except guide dogs); chairs or stools; backpacks or bags larger than 20×30 cm (about 8×12 in); items intended for resale; weapons of any kind; umbrellas; clothing or accessories with sharp or pointed parts; pointed objects (such as pens) or cutting/piercing items (scissors, nail clippers, razor blades); balloons, juggling props, air horns, and water guns; flammable spray products or gas canisters; fireworks; illegal drugs, toxic substances, and medication without a prescription; alcoholic beverages; food intended for resale or that poses a safety risk; football team jerseys; and flags, with or without a pole.

Allowed: factory-sealed packaged food (such as chips and crackers), in quantities that don’t suggest resale; cut fruit or vegetables in plastic packaging; medication with a prescription or, in the case of special dietary needs, a medical report; and one uncapped, flexible, transparent plastic water bottle of up to 600 ml (20 oz), whether full or empty.

Unauthorized items are discarded.

Nubank Parque does not offer a coat/bag check on show days.

What bags are allowed at concerts?

Staying hydrated

There are water refill stations at the barricades and access points throughout the stadium where you can refill your water bottle.

Accessibility

Nubank Parque is accessible to people with disabilities, reduced mobility, or obesity, as defined by law. Wheelchair users are entitled to bring two paying companions, with access via ramps and elevators.

The stadium has 63 adapted restrooms, spread across all floors, plus reserved parking spots near the elevators. Guide dogs are also allowed.

Half-price tickets for guests with disabilities are typically available in every section. That said, it’s worth checking which sections are specifically designated for the event you’re attending, since visibility can vary depending on how the show is set up.

Nubank Parque also has a Sensory Room, on the ground floor (section 117, next to the medical station), separate from the general crowd and equipped with bean bags, blankets, a swing, noise-canceling headphones, and other items. This room was designed for people with atypical development. At large events, a trained team is on hand to support anyone experiencing sensory overload or dysregulation.

Common mistakes to avoid at Nubank Parque

Bringing a large backpack or bag: the limit is 20×30 cm (about 8×12 in), and since there’s no coat/bag check, oversized items have nowhere to be stored and will simply be discarded.

Counting on the metro to get home after midnight: the service stops around midnight, so it’s worth having a backup plan if needed (bus, taxi, or rideshare).

Is it worth seeing a show at Nubank Parque?

For large-scale tours, Nubank Parque is one of São Paulo’s leading and most comfortable multi-use stadiums. It has solid accessibility infrastructure, extensive public transport options, and a capacity that few venues in the city can match. The size of the place calls for a bit more careful planning, especially for the trip home, but that doesn’t take it off the list for anyone looking to catch a major rock act touring Brazil.

Frequently asked questions about Nubank Parque

Is Nubank Parque big?

Yes. The stadium has a concert capacity of around 50,000 people.

What’s the best section at Nubank Parque?

It depends on your budget and preference. That said, the whole stadium has great visibility. Is it easy to get to Nubank Parque by public transport?

Yes. Palmeiras-Barra Funda station, about 800 meters away, connects the metro, CPTM commuter rail, and several bus routes serving both the city and other parts of Brazil.

How early should I arrive before the show?

Gates typically open around two hours before showtime. For large events, though, they can open up to four hours in advance. It’s worth confirming the specific timing for your event.
