Uber Arena is the largest multipurpose arena in Berlin, Germany, which opened in 2008. It was previously known as the Mercedes-Benz Arena and O2 World.
The arena is located in an entertainment area along the Spree River.
Ghost, U2, Volbeat, Roger Waters, Arctic Monkeys, blink-182, Scorpions, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Nine Inch Nails, and Slipknot are just some of the big names in global rock who have already performed at the Uber Arena.
With a capacity of up to 17,000 spectators, the venue features a standing audience area and two large tiers of seating with chairs.
Inside and outside the arena, there are places that sell snacks and drinks. Uber Arena operates on a cashless system, accepting only digital or card payments.
For security reasons, only small bags are allowed inside the arena. The maximum size permitted is A4 dimensions: Height: 29.7 cm; Width: 21 cm. This bag policy is now common across many Europe entertainment venues.
Uber Arena has easy access to public transportation (metro and train).
