Unipol Arena is a multi-purpose arena inaugurated in the early 1990s. It is the main concert venue in Bologna and its surroundings.
The venue hosts events and performances by major Italian and international artists. The audience can choose to watch the shows from the floor or from two tiers of numbered seats. The view of the stage from the side seats is good.
Nearby the arena, there is a shopping center and a good variety of restaurants and snack bars within walking distance. For those driving to the show, there is a paid parking lot next to the arena and other nearby parking facilities that stay open late, such as the Gran Reno Shopping Center and the Ikea store.
For those using public transport from Bologna’s historic center, it is recommended to buy special round-trip bus tickets for the show (special line 975) at the central bus station (Autostazione di Bologna) or online. The special buses depart from a point in front of the central train station (Bologna Centrale), on Viale Pietramellara, near the pharmacy.
